World Bee Day

Hi, today May 20th is World Bee Day, and the theme for World Bee Day 2022 is ‘Bee engaged: Build Back Better for Bees’. The United Nations is keen for people to think about bees as we rebuild our lives following the COVID-19 pandemic, develop awareness of beekeeping and the importance of bee-derived products.

We can protect bees by:

> keeping our gardens natural – no AstroTurf and reduced mowing

> planting trees for bees

> making homes for bees – this could include the bee boxes
