Prompt – Tempest

Hi, I have used Ragtag’s prompt ‘Tempest’ as inspiration to bring a bit of Shakespeare to the page, The Tempest, one of my favourites, is a play by William Shakespeare, written around 1610 it is thought to be one of the last plays he wrote alone. The first scene takes place on a ship at sea during a tempest, the rest of the story is set on a remote island.

The quote below is one of the most famous and is still thankfully so true:

O, wonder!

How many goodly creatures are there here!

How beauteous mankind is! O brave new world,

That has such people in’t!”

Miranda (Act 5, Scene 1)

I was born and live in rural North Wales (UK) and found poetry again after a lifetime, so grateful I did :)
