Anna Poem

Hi, today once more, I have taken inspiration for this poem from murisopsis’s ‘My Name scavenger hunt’ where she’s selected a number of poetry forms which have names, see here: https://murisopsis.wordpress.com/2022/08/31/looking-at-names/

This one is The Anna, invented by James R. Gray in honour of Arkansas poet Anna Nash Yarbrough. The creator suggests the theme for this metric verse be love. It comprises of 7 lines non-rhyming, Syllables: L1- 2; L2 – 3; L4 – 5; L5 – 4; L6 – 3; L7 – 2.

My poem is ‘To be Close’, thanks for reading.

I was born and live in rural North Wales (UK) and found poetry again after a lifetime, so grateful I did :)
