“The Geese Arrive”

In Marks post (https://naturalistweekly.com/2022/10/08/micro-season-the-geese-arrive/) he discloses that we have entered the micro-season of “The Geese Arrive”. This is the first micro-season of the mini-season of Cold Dew: The Geese Arrive (Oct 08 – Oct 12; The Chrysanthemum Flowers (Oct 13 – Oct 17) and The Grasshopper Sings (Oct 18 – Oct 22)

This week Mark invites us to write a haiku or senryu that references geese or bird migration. Here is my contribution, thanks for reading.

I was born and live in rural North Wales (UK) and found poetry again after a lifetime, so grateful I did :)

  1. Another great haiku! I enjoyed the reference to heading home both as a migration connection but also a reference to the inward focus of autumn in preparation for winter. Well done!
