Hello ‘Weavers’, welcome to W3 prompt hosted by David, (the Skeptic’s Kaddish) https://skepticskaddish.com/2022/10/12/w3-prompt-24-weave-written-weekly/.
The chosen POW is Lesley Scoble, who has given us two choices either to write a write a Minute Poem or a Shakespearean Sonnet, I have chosen the ‘Minute’ (a 12 lined poem in 3 stanzas – syllables, each stanza 8,4,4,4, the rhyme: aabb, ccdd, eeff), Lesley also asks that the verse illustrates an event in real time of 60 seconds.
Here is my contribution entitled ‘One small step’, thanks for looking in 🙂

Looks just like a small child walking. 🙂

This is an adorable poem. A very precious minute in a child’s first steps. I can see it so well. A sweet delight. Very evocative. (I’m all dewy eyed remembering my own small boys’ first steps) 💗 Thank you AJ. 🙏

Thanks – yes they grow so quickly – the next thing they are tottering after a little too much wine! 🙂
