Hi, its the first Friday in November and time for Rochelle’s Friday Fictioneers – https://rochellewisoff.com/2022/11/02/4-november-2022/, the inspiration for my piece below is from the photo above by Brenda. I would like to thank Brenda as this brought back many happy memories. When our daughter was born this was the make of car we had, only it was red, the last lines of the story (apart from the name) are true, I loved the car and was sad when we parted.

A lovely, nostalgic story

A delightful tale. Oh, how I miss my 2CVs!

Yes the only drawback was in winter when you put on the heater mine smelt of fumes due to the way the engine was cooled by air 🙂

So many memories caught up in our cars, especially times like the one you describe. To Jean-Paul that car is an old friend. ❤️

Your affection for the vehicle is very apparent and so much of it revolves around memories made with the daughter. So cool you owned one 🙂

Yes it was a special little motor ❤

Lovely bit of nostalgia. In his defence, I bet the humble small 2CV wasn’t the car that did the most damage to the environment.

Dear Angele,
What a touching story. As a mother of grown children, I completely sympathize with Jean-Paul. Well done.
