Armistice Haiku

The Armistice, (Latin for to still arms), was an agreement to end the fighting of the First World War, it began at 11am on 11 November 1918. The poppy is a symbol of remembrance and hope.

As today is the anniversary of the end of the First World War, my eleventh Haiku for this month of writing reflects the significance of the day, thanks for looking ❤

I was born and live in rural North Wales (UK) and found poetry again after a lifetime, so grateful I did :)
