Hi happy new year Weavers, and David’s W3 https://skepticskaddish.com/2023/01/04/w3-prompt-36-weave-written-weekly/, this week the POW is Murisopsis with her fantastic poem ‘The Breakup’. We are invited to write a poem in any style of 14 lines, on the topic of any form of poverty.
Here is my contribution, thanks for looking.

“furtively slips into lives” Good personification of poverty throughout.
And poverty’s impact on children effects their learning and outlook, their future prospects.

Stark and honest message here, Angela. You gave poverty a face…and it’s a scary one! Well written! 💞💞💞

This is amazing, and, I have to say, the first two lines actually make the entire poem for me – they are so true and so aptly put.
