The Land of the Midnight Sun

in a magical world with no shade

the Earth orbits on its axis

and a passion tilts the horizon,

when midnight strikes, dragons

under heaven’s spot-light

glide across the frozen fjords,

they are breathless, destitute of fire,

but are stars in their own sky,

raised among the scent of lofty trees

they hold nature’s spirit within and

stretching out their scaly wings

they take flight, divine music

flows on the breeze

it is a time for renewal

a restoration of the soul

soon there will be harmony

in these never ending days of light
