July 5th 1948 was an historic moment in Britains’ history, it was the day our pioneering National Health Service (NHS) was born, bringing free healthcare to all. It has been treasured ever since, but never more so since March 2020 when the Coronavirus pandemic gripped the UK and utterly changed all our lives.
Today the NHS is 74 years old and a big thank you goes out to all its staff especially after the last 2 years and the sacrifices made alongside frontline Social Care Workers.
In honour last year the Queen presented the George Cross to the NHS:

As well marking the achievements, we must also remember those who have lost their lives to COVID-19, not just the NHS staff, but all those who have been taken from us too soon.
