Hi, Laura is our host at dVerse and she invites us to write a Spanish Ovillejo on the theme of ‘rain’, https://dversepoets.com/2023/08/10/mtb-spanish-rain-in-the-ovillejo/ the Ovillejo was first constructed by Cervantes in Don Quixote and comprises of 10 lines broken into two stanzas:
The first stanza has six lines with three rhyming couplets rhyme scheme is aabbcc comprising of 8/3 syllables per couplet, each couplet is a question/answer or echo, the second stanza has four lines, rhyme scheme cddc, 6-8 syllables for the three lines and the final line combines lines 2, 4, and 6 together.
“the ground dissolves, and falls apart it’s fine art,”
Love that line.
